Residentials

Getting together with guiding friends for sleepovers, camps, adventurous activities and even music festivals.

Going away with their unit is a great adventure for girls and guiding provides plenty of opportunities for units. Indoor sleepovers, particularly for Rainbows, can take place at local venues with suitable facilities.

Moving outdoors, camping provides a great way to gain new skills and experience. Many locations offer lots of different exciting and adventurous activities.

Guys Farm

Silver Sapling

Enclosed by picturesque woodland, Silver Sapling is a voluntary run campsite that provides an outstanding outdoors experience for Girlguiding members, as well as family camps, schools and other non-guide association groups.

We are easily accessible from the M6, yet set in peaceful countryside, located in a National Trust “area of outstanding natural beauty”.  With direct access to beautiful woodland walks and stunning rocky coastlines, Silver Sapling campsite provides camping facilities for large or small camps

Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead, to speaking out on issues they care about. It helps them develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be. ’
