Residentials

Going away with their unit is a great adventure for girls and guiding provides plenty of opportunities for units. Indoor sleepovers, particularly for Rainbows, can take place at local venues with suitable facilities. Outdoors, camping provides a great way to gain new skills and experience. Many locations offer lots of different exciting and adventurous activities.

If you want to give your unit a unique experience, why not complete your Going Away With (GAW) license?

More information from the Girlguiding website can be found here:

The GAW modules that you need to complete are on the Girlguiding Learning Platform.

"Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead, to speaking out on issues they care about. It helps them develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be. "
